Key Objectives
Join our Buying team in Tokyo and report to the Head of Buying. You will
build seasonal buy plans, source inventory through trusted marketplace
partners and ensure every purchase aligns to the customer needs and
commercial goals of Eco Brand Japan.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Master our product database, pricing architecture and compliance standards.
- Research emerging trends and resale pricing to inform buying strategies.
- Participate in domestic and international marketplaces, including live bidding.
- Expand sourcing opportunities by nurturing new and existing partnerships.
- Authenticate handbags, accessories, apparel and more to protect brand trust.
- Develop business relationships with local companies and suppliers.
- Support physical review of inventory, including standing, bending, lifting and travel.

Hours & Travel
This is a full-time, 40-hour role with regular travel within and beyond
Tokyo. When office-based, the schedule runs Monday to Friday, 9:30 to
18:30. Travel may require weekend work with compensatory days off to
maintain a five-day work week.
The six-month probation period includes two months focused on office
training, followed by four months of travel across Tokyo and other
domestic regions depending on performance.
Education & Language
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Japanese language proficiency of JLPT N2 or above.
- Fluent or native English communication.
- Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean at business level is highly valued.
Compensation & Benefits
- Commission bonus eligibility after one year, paid monthly based on results.
- Reimbursed commuter costs from home to office.
- Company-covered travel expenses for assignments outside Greater Tokyo, including transport, hotels and meals.
- Regular domestic and international travel opportunities after probation, up to 30–40% of time.
What You Need to Know
- Eligibility: Working Holiday Visa holders are not eligible to apply. Visa renewal sponsorship after six months of proven performance.
